 Bateman to Moscow: This 7 mile float is similar to the Ghost but less technical and better for beginners.  WHERE:  The put in is at Bateman Bridge and takes out at Hwy. 57 in Moscow.  Allow 4 hours.

A relaxing day on the Ghost with Little Dog

Ghost River Section: This beautiful 8.5 mile float features abundant wildlife and a magnificent cypress swamp.  The well marked trail is perfect for moderately experienced canoeist.  WHERE: This section starts at LaGrange Road just south of town and takes out at Bateman Bridge on Bateman Road.  Allow 4-6 hours.

Wolf River  through Shelby Farms: This 3.5 mile trip through Lucius Burch National Area in Shelby Farms is an often overlooked option for a quick morning or afternoon paddle.  It is difficult to believe you are paddling through a city of a million people.  WHERE:  Germantown Parkway to Walnut Grove Road.  Relaxing 1-2 hour float.
