I was kayak fishing on spirit lake today and spotted another bald eagle. I paddled up from Bateman Bridge to the lake and a bald eagle crossed directly overhead just as I entered the lake at about 0900. All of the sightings that I am aware of have been within a 2 mile radius of Bateman Bridge. Both of my personal sightings have been on spirit lake.

We were at bateman's bridge this afternoon and there it was, a bald eagle. I was really excited to see my first one on the wolf. I hope to see it many more times.

We have had numerous eagle sightings from Bateman Bridge up to Spirit Lake. They are skidish and disappear when they spot human activity. I had my closest sighting today when an eagle was in a tree near the canoe trail on the west side of Spirit Lake. I believe he had just finished his meal and dropped some type of carcass in the lake before flying off. The location of the sightings is becoming more regular and predictable.
